“Some people believe holding on, and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.” -Ann Landers
We all have ‘storms’ inside of us. These ‘storms’ can manifest as regrets, fear, and shame in showing the world who we are. Daring to be vulnerable and honest makes sense, because in sharing our challenges we anchor ourselves in peace.
In the movie Frozen, the character Elsa suppresses her feelings in order to ‘be the good girl’ her parents want her to be. As her suppressed powers grow she becomes dangerous to herself, and those around her. It is only when she ‘lets go’ that she achieves the peace she has been seeking. The power of liberation always calls the heart to remember Love & Peace. In the creation of her magnificent ice castle Elsa breaks through her old patterns, and ‘lets go’ to become her ‘True Self’.
Letting it go means: releasing one’s grip on fearful emotions from the past. Let your true self shine, and witness the soaring light of your soul!
